Equine Iridology
I am not a veterinarian, I do not diagnose or treat. I am a Certified Equine Iridologist and list which Iris markers were evident in the horse’s eye at the time of the iris assessment. This information is not intended to take the place of a Veterinarian. Assessments will be of the “left eye” and “right eye”.
Equine Iridology is the study of the iris (the colored part) of the eye. There are thousands of nerve endings in the iris that connect to all the systems of the body. Looking at the markers in the iris can indicate more than 50 different things happening within the body structurally, with
muscles, organs, etc. For instance, seeing a marker for the liver, could indicate that the
nervous system is flagging the liver & that there may be an issue that may need to be addressed in that area.
When a foal is born, their eye is clear with no markers, as they age and events in life happen the iris becomes marked by the nervous system. The location, size, and color of these markers is what the iridologist looks at to determine where in the body support is needed.
Iridology assessments are fantastic for problems that cannot be figured out, such as mysterious lameness, ulcers and EPM. They can also be utilized as a pre-purchase assessment to see what you are buying!
Iridology Assessments are a very non-invasive way of getting a look at what is happening with
your horse. You just simply take a clear, focused video/picture of each eye. Those pictures can then be emailed to me to have an assessment done. Once complete, we set up an appointment to discuss the assessment and action plan.
